Joby Cook
Fearless Leader and Foreman
Joby Cook is the mastermind of all the features The Slider Project builds. Everything from metal frame to buoyancy is engineered by Joby. Joby has been kiteboarding since 2003 and wakeboarding since 1997, and is a US team rider for Slingshot Sports. Joby is a contractor in the Columbia River Gorge and specializes in home building, custom concrete work, custom metal work, and fine craftsmanship. Due to what Joby's has given to the Hood River Community through terrain park features, everyone should consider contacting him for your next construction project.
Forrest Rae
Behind the Scenes, Livin' the Dream
Forrest Rae is the person behind the scenes. Forrest handles the paper side of The Slider Project along with also doubling as a welder and sidekick. Forrest is also an active and contributing member of the Hood River Community holding positions on the Board of Directors for the Columbia River Kiteboard Association and Port of Hood River Waterfront Recreation Committee. Forrest is a software engineer by trade. Forrest has been kiteboarding since 2004 and has spent some time on the cable as well. Forrest is a regional rider for Liquid Force Kiteboarding.
Jake Cook
Captain Make it Happen
Jake Cook is a dedicated friend who has spent many hours helping The Slider Project build features. Jake is also a contractor who works in the Columbia River Gorge with Joby. Jake has been kiteboarding since 2003.
Matt Kobelinski
Major Metal Melter
Matt Kobelinski is another dedicated friend who has spent many hours helping The Slider Project build features. Matt rocks the food at Big Horse Brew Pub in Hood River and works construction projects. Matt has been kiteboarding since 2001.
Ian Daly
Mad Shredder Slider Tester
Ian Daly is a Hood River local shredder. He's currently a senior at the University of Utah, studying photography and art technology. Ian grew up kiteboarding. Ian has been helping build sliders since day one, and is currently The Slider Project's webmaster.
Dylan Thompson
Mad Shredder Slider Tester
Dylan Thompson is a Hood River local shredder. Dylan is a professional snowboarder who rides for Technine, Thirtytwo, Etnies, Electric, Banshee Bungee, Brighton, and Neff. Dylan grew up kiteboarding, and is one of the most progressive rail riders kiteboarding has ever seen.
